$\"ernestoviso_111600\"$ <\/a>(DETROIT, MICHIGAN, junio 1, 2014)<\/strong> El venezolano Ernesto Jos\u00e9 Viso se impuso en las tres v\u00e1lidas de la serie F\u00f3rmula Off Road Supertrucks que se disputaron durante el fin de semana en el circuito urbano de Belle Island, en Detroit, categ\u00f3rico desempe\u00f1o que lo consagr\u00f3 como el ganador absoluto de la cuarta fecha del calendario estadounidense.<\/p>\n

Ernesto Viso se impuso en cada una de las tres carreras pautadas en el trazado de 3.8 kil\u00f3metros de longitud, en su retorno a la modalidad luego de debutar en abril con un notable segundo lugar en las calles de Long Beach, en California.<\/p>\n

En la primera competencia realizada el viernes, EJ Viso se impuso frente al organizador del certamen y ex piloto de Champcar y Nascar, Robbie Gordon, tercera colocaci\u00f3n que ocup\u00f3 el tambi\u00e9n norteamericano Arie Luyendick Jr, piloto este \u00faltimo que mantuvo un cerrado duelo con el caraque\u00f1o hasta las instantes finales, batalla que capitaliz\u00f3 Gordon para avanzar a la segunda casilla.<\/p>\n

En la segunda carrera que se disput\u00f3 el s\u00e1bado, con un formato sprint o corto de apenas 5 vueltas, Ernesto Jos\u00e9 volvi\u00f3 a dominar el pelot\u00f3n tras asumir la vanguardia en el tercer giro, al aprovechar un error del adolescente Scotty Steely, lo que permiti\u00f3 que el criollo recibiera la bandera ajedrezada con 1.5 segundos frente a su rival, podio que complet\u00f3 Aaron Bambach.<\/p>\n

La tercera y \u00faltima conquista de EJ Viso en el fin de semana en las calles de Detroit la alcanz\u00f3 el domingo, bater\u00eda en la que asumi\u00f3 la vanguardia en la \u00faltima vuelta, al superar con aguerrida maniobra al californiano Burt Jenner, espectacular duelo que hizo vibrar a los aficionados que disfrutaron del trazado urbano que cont\u00f3 adem\u00e1s con 4 rampas de metal que permit\u00edan saltos de m\u00e1s de 30 metros de longitud y 5 de altura.<\/p>\n

Con la triple conquista obtenida en Detroit, Viso se proyecta entre los cinco primeros en la tabla a pesar de haber participado en 4 de las 8 carreras disputadas, cronograma que cuenta con un total de 15 pruebas que es liderado por el organizador Robbie Gordon.<\/p>\n

E.J. Viso Wins Third TRAXXAS Truck Race at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix<\/strong><\/p>\n

DETROIT, Mich. (June 1, 2014) \u2013<\/strong> E.J. Viso completed a weekend sweep of three Menards Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS races, taking Sunday\u2019s race in front of a massive audience at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. Viso\u2019s Momo\/Gridstar truck dominated a weekend of thrilling truck racing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am obviously starting to feel more comfortable with the truck,\u201d Viso said. \u201cIt was a great weekend and a great track. This new series is going to be the next thing, it\u2019s really catching on with the fans, sponsors and drivers. The trucks are very fun to drive and I had a blast. This is only my second opportunity in the trucks, and I hope there are many others. Now I am looking forward to X Games next weekend in Austin (Texas) which I am sure is going to be a different animal but I am ready for that challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burt Jenner\u2019s Gladiator truck led going to the final lap with Viso in close pursuit. Viso overtook Jenner in turn four of the 2.35-mile street circuit as the two went side by side through the 90-degree right hand corner. Viso and Jenner touched in close racing quarters, which moved Jenner out of the racing groove allowing Arie Luyendyk Jr.\u2019s Quicken Loans truck and Robby Gordon\u2019s Menards\/TRAXXAS sponsored machine to move to second and third respectively, which is where they finished.<\/p>\n

Jenner brought his truck home in fourth after leading much of the race.<\/p>\n

Rochester Hills, Michigan\u2019s Aaron Bambach, driving the BZ\u2019s Twisted Blend\/3deminsional.com truck followed up Saturday\u2019s podium finish with a fifth-place drive, while the RPM\/VisitMexico.com driver Apdaly Lopez finished sixth. Scotty Steele finished seventh after a second-place run Saturday, and TRAXXAS driver Keegan Kincaid rolled his truck for the second time on the weekend and was created with an eighth-place finish.<\/p>\n

Four metal ramps were positioned throughout the course, with the trucks jumping as much as 15 feet in the air and more than 100 feet down course bringing cheers and gasps from the huge Belle Isle crowd.<\/p>\n

The SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS series now moves to Austin, Texas and the ESPN X Games, marking the first time in series history that it will be featured in a live network television broadcast. The final race at X Games Austin will air Sunday, June 8 on ABC at 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

A replay of the Menards TRAXXAS races from Detroit will be shown on NBCSN June 20 at 10:30 p.m. PDT (1:30 a.m. June 21 EDT). The Menards at the Brickyard TRAXXAS races from Indianapolis will be shown on NBCSN June 13 at 9 p.m. (PDT) (midnight EST).<\/p>\n
