El equipo RAB Racing tiene su base de operaciones en Charlotte, en Carolina del Norte.<\/p>\n<p>Milka Duno ha competido en m\u00faltiples categor\u00edas en Estados Unidos y Europa y exhibe ocho triunfos en pruebas principales en la categor\u00eda prototipos en American Le Mans Series y Grand Am Rolex Series, con un segundo lugar absoluto en las 24 Horas de Daytona 2007, adem\u00e1s de imponerse en dos ocasiones en el Grand Prix de Miami, convirti\u00e9ndose en la primera mujer en la historia en ganar una carrera internacional de jerarqu\u00eda en Norteam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMe siento realmente emocionada y honrada al ingresar a la serie Nationwide de NASCAR &#8211; expres\u00f3 Milka Duno &#8211; Siempre fue una meta y un sue\u00f1o que tuve en competir en NASCAR y para ello trabaj\u00e9 muy fuerte en ARCA para convertir ese objetivo en realidad. Siempre me esforc\u00e9 al m\u00e1ximo como piloto y me puedo considerar afortunada al haber corrido en diferentes categor\u00edas y tipos de autos, manteniendo la competencia como mi principal foco. NASCAR es el campeonato m\u00e1s competitivo y popular de los Estados Unidos y es un orgullo el incorporarme a esta serie junto a RAB Racing y aguardo con entusiasmo el competir con ellos en el Toyota Camry n\u00famero 29\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El experimentado jefe de equipo Chris rice estar\u00e1 junto a Milka en su presentaci\u00f3n en NASCAR Nationwide Series (NSS). NNS se ubica en la mitad del escalaf\u00f3n de las series nacionales de NASCAR, situada entre NASCAR Sprint Cup y NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR Nationwide Series se ha consolidado como el campeonato de mayor jerarqu\u00eda para aquellos pilotos que aspiran a convertirse en protagonistas en NSCS, con un importante n\u00famero de las estrellas de la serie principal que desarrollaron sus habilidades en NNS a lo largo de los a\u00f1os.<br \/>\n<strong>MILKA DUNO MARCA NUEVOS HITOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Como a lo largo de su trayectoria deportiva, Milka Duno ha se\u00f1alado una importante serie de registros en la totalidad de campeonatos en los que ha tomado parte.<\/p>\n<p>En 2007, Milka se convirti\u00f3 en la primera mujer hispana y tambi\u00e9n en el primer venezolano en clasificar y competir en los 103 a\u00f1os de historia en las mundialmente famosas 500 Millas de Indian\u00e1polis . Duno compiti\u00f3 en Indy 500 en tres ocasiones consecutivas e igualmente particip\u00f3 en cuatro temporadas en IndyCar Series, si bien en los a\u00f1os 2007, 2008 y 2009 lo hizo de manera parcial, mientras en la campa\u00f1a 2010 complet\u00f3 todo el calendario.<\/p>\n<p>En la transici\u00f3n que la llev\u00f3 a asegurar su participaci\u00f3n en la prestigiosa serie NASCAR, Milka Duno compiti\u00f3 en ARCA Racing Series en las pasadas tres temporadas. En 2011 y 2012 ella compiti\u00f3 de manera parcial y su primera campa\u00f1a completa en ARCA la efectu\u00f3 en la edici\u00f3n 2013, al competir con la escuder\u00eda Venturini Motorsports, junto a la que concluy\u00f3 en el s\u00e9ptimo lugar en la clasificaci\u00f3n general, convirti\u00e9ndose en la segunda mujer hispana en correr en la serie ARCA.<\/p>\n<p>Durante su presentaci\u00f3n en ARCA 2013, Milka encabez\u00f3 el pelot\u00f3n en Daytona International Speedway luego de partir desde el segundo lugar, transform\u00e1ndose en la primera mujer hispana en liderar una carrera en ARCA. En Talladega Superspeedway ella se apoder\u00f3 de la pole position y tambi\u00e9n estuvo al frente en las primeras vueltas. Duno se convirti\u00f3 apenas en la cuarta mujer en la historia de ARCA Racing y s\u00f3lo en la segunda mujer en 25 a\u00f1os en conquistar una pole en Talladega. (August 4, 2014) \u2013<\/strong> RAB Racing has signed multiple race-winning driver Milka Duno to compete in select races in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series and with the entry Duno will become the first Hispanic female driver in history to compete in a NASCAR national series in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>A successful driver who has competed in multiple racing series Duno has eight major race wins in the highest classes (Prototype) in the American Le Mans Series and the Grand American Rolex Series and the highest finish ever by a female driver (2nd When she won the Rolex Series Grand Prix of Miami she became the first woman in history to win a major international race in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, Duno was also the first Hispanic female driver, in the now 103-year history of the race, to qualify for and compete in the world famous Indianapolis 500. Duno competed in the Indianapolis 500 for three consecutive seasons and in the IndyCar Series for four consecutive seasons \u2013 running partial schedules in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and a full schedule in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>In making her transition to stock car racing and her ultimate entry into NASCAR Duno has been competing in the ARCA Racing Series (ARCA) for the past three seasons. In 2011 and 2012 she competed in partial schedules and in her first full ARCA season in 2013, competing with Venturini Motorsports, she finished the season 7th point standings and became the 2nd first Hispanic female driver to compete in ARCA.<\/p>\n<p>During her 2013 ARCA season Duno started 2nd the lead on the first lap and led the race for several laps &#8211; becoming the first Hispanic female driver to lead an ARCA . At Talladega Superspeedway she earned the pole, led the race and became the first Hispanic female driver to earn an ARCA pole. She also became only the fourth female driver in ARCA history, and only the second female driver in 25 years, to earn an ARCA pole at Talladega. Duno finished her 2013 ARCA season 3rd in hard charger points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really very excited and honored to enter into NASCAR and the Nationwide Series,\u201d said Duno. \u201cIt has always been a goal and dream of mine to compete in NASCAR and I worked very hard in ARCA to turn this goal into a reality. In 2013, Rice lead RAB Racing\u2019s No. 99 Toyota Camry to two poles, two top-5 finishes, and six top-10 finishes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;ve watched Milka develop in the ARCA Racing Series and feel she is prepared for the next step in her stock car racing career,\u00bb said RAB Racing owner Robby Benton. \u00abI think that working with Chris Rice, Milka can find a home in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
